No. A link farm contains many automated links
to many different genres of web sites without regard for organization
or content. FastVirtual's webmaster resources directory is an organized
directory of relevant resources, divided into meaningful categories.
Is
the Webmaster Resources Directory a "free-for-all" listing?
No. A free-for-all listing is an automated
listing system that simply collects links in bulk for the sole purpose
of increasing link popularity. Each link submitted to the directory
is manually approved before it can be placed on our links pages. It
is not technically possible to use FastVirtual's webmaster resources
directory to create "free for all" links pages.
Can
any web site be listed in the directory?
Only web sites that we deem valuable, ethical
and relevant will be listed in the directory. The following types of
web sites are never accepted: web sites encouraging illegal activity or
racism, sites providing instructions or discussions about performing
illegal activities, sites engaged in libelous or harassing activities,
sites that promote or utilize software or services designed to deliver
unsolicited email, or sites that are otherwise inappropriate. If a listed
web site is reported to be engaging in unethical practices, an inquiry
and investigation is performed and necessary steps taken. If the allegations
prove to be true, that link would be immediately removed.
Will
listing my site here improve my search engine position?
Most search engines rank your site for popularity.
Therefore, even though you may have a great service or product, and
have fine-tuned your web pages for relevant keywords, it is unlikely
you will achieve a good position unless you have other web sites linking
to yours. All links listed here are favorably viewed by search engines,
so yes, if your site is included this will improve your link popularity.
However, just one additional link to your site will not produce dramatic
results, so we suggest you establish and maintain an organized reciprocal
linking campaign.
Will
listing my site here subject me to spam?
No. Email addresses are not included with displayed
links. We have taken great care to ensure that the directory cannot
be used to forward or harvest unsolicited email.
Will
anyone else have access to my contact information?
No. Your email address, name and any other
information you provide is completely safe and confidential. This is
required only for the purpose of communicating with you concerning your
listing in the Webmaster Resources Directory, and will never be used
